The case (or curse?) of the rarely-changing photo byline had Press and Journal columnist, Lesley Hart, reporting light-heartedly on the five years that separated the taking of her new, current picture from that which preceded it.
In this week’s column, she writes: “Anyone who saw my previous byline picture, replaced a few weeks ago after almost five years, will have noticed quite a change. The new picture is apparently more of a likeness – but that’s not saying much.”
She continues: “… for people who may never have met me, or had any visual reference beyond the previous byline picture, this new photo could easily seem like an impostor.”
Five years ago, she had blonde hair, tied up. Now, it's brown and bobbed.
She adds: “One incredulous reader was moved to contact the P&J this week to check that it actually was me.”
