The copy was correct in the Sunday Times Scotland, at the weekend, in its report that the Mull of Kintyre is up for sale. The area is, indeed, a peninsula.
But, sadly, the caption with the accompanying photograph fell foul of that common misconception: the Mull of Kintyre is not an island, though it might feel like it.
As one allmediascotland.com reader remarked: “Next up, that Bute House is in Rothesay?”
