TODAY’S Scottish Sun splashes with a tale about an MP claiming for a bell tower, as a parliamentary expense, accompanied by the headline: ‘Ding dong Immorally on high’.
It’s the latest contender in allmediascotland’s ‘Headline of the month’ competition – in association with whisky folk, Whyte & Mackay.
Up for grabs each month are bottles of Whyte & Mackay Special whisky – for both the author of the headline and the person who has nominated it, with the monthly winners entered in a ‘Headline of the year’ competition where two bottles, each worth £150, of Whyte & Mackay 30 year-old are the prizes.
Eligible are headlines in Scottish newspapers (national and local), plus Scottish magazines and online.
Nominating the above headline was Ruth MacLeod, corporate communications manager at Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service.
Meanwhile, PR person, Mike Ritchie, offers two headlines from the Christmas edition of the Big Issue Scotland magazine:
‘Scroogenomics’ – An article assessing the ‘merits’ of a miserly Christmas spirit.
‘This Christmas he gives us his heart’ – A George Michael interview.
