As part of the Communications and Marketing function of the Force, you will help deliver the communications strategy through the provision of effective and efficient written communications and information. You will work to positively and proactively promote the Force, build public confidence and enhance community safety and reassurance through communications channels and products to reach external and internal audiences.
Possessing excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, you will help manage and enhance the reputation of the Force, through local, national and international media, creating content for the Force website, writing material for corporate publications and marketing resources. You will also have an important role to play internally keeping our staff informed.
Due to the busy nature of this role, good planning and sound management of time is essential. You should also possess sound decision making ability and will require to liaise regularly with Senior Officers and colleagues within the Corporate Communications department.
The working hours for this post are 35 hours per week, covering between 8am and 6pm, so applicants should note that flexibility will be required as necessary. You also have the opportunity to participate in the Local Government final salary pension scheme.
