APPLICATIONS are being sought to operate the next generation of community radio stations in Scotland.
Broadcasting regulators, Ofcom, are inviting applications, with a deadline set for February 14.
Says Ofcom: “Licences are being offered for providing services on either the FM – VHF – waveband or the AM – medium wave – band, for an initial maximum period of five years.”
In judging applications, Ofcom will consider to what extent a new station might unduy prejudice the economic viability of any other local service.
