The breakfast show on radio station, Clyde 1, is to be revamped, with current host, George Bowie, to be joined by Suzie McGuire, who currently hosts the station's drivetime, early evening programme.
The pairing, starting Monday, of Bowie and McGuire means an even fiercer battle for the morning airwaves, including with Galaxy's Des Clarke and Vanessa Motion.
The change means Bowie's co-hosts, Des McLean and Adele Cunningham, are to be re-deployed within owner, Bauer Media's network of stations, but nothing has been announced, as yet.
Suzie’s drivetime spot replacement is also still to be announced.
In a statement issued by Clyde 1, Tracey McNellan, station director, is quoted, as saying: “George and Suzie have a fabulous friendship and a camaraderie that will be unbeatable on air. Bringing them together is an exciting proposition that will give our listeners at breakfast a truly fantastic, completely unique and genuinely exciting radio show.
“We can’t wait to hear them together on air. Des McLean and Adele Cunningham have been great assets to the show and we will be utilising their talents elsewhere within the Bauer stable.”
