THE Daily Record has been named a winner at an awards ceremony celebrating the best of the UK-wide press.
The paper took the Sports Team prize at the Press Awards for 2014, which saw The Times named Newspaper of the Year.
The Record was also highly commended, in the Front Page category, for its The Vow.
As noted, here, the paper had earned four nominations.
Among the winners was former Scotsman editor, Rebecca Hardy – for Interview of the Year (popular newspapers).
And Scot, Fraser Nelson, was highly commended in the Columnist of the Year (broadsheet) category.
