FIRST, congratulations to Jon Hebditch, who has been appointed as a reporter at The Press and Journal newspaper, having previously been a reporter with the press agency, SWNS.
He began a couple of weeks ago.

Rob Shorthouse has been appointed director of corporate affairs at Optical Express.
His other previous roles include head of communications at the Scottish Football Association and director of communications at the then Strathclyde Police.

AS reported on allmediascotland earlier this month, here, the editor of the Scottish Daily Express newspaper is taking early retirement.
David Hamilton has been editor of the paper for the last 14 years.

ALSO as reported on allmediascotland, this time yesterday (here): According to The Herald newspaper, the corporate comms agency, Edinburgh and London-based Charlotte Street Partners, has taken on Robert Ballantyne as an associate partner.
The newspaper notes his CV includes head of corporate comms at brewers, Scottish & Newcastle.
