AND firstly, congratulations to Graham Miller; he is now the editor at the Airdrie & Coatbridge Advertiser, having previously been editor of sister title, the Wishaw Press. The Wishaw Press is now edited by Gary Fanning, previously senior reporter at the Hamilton Advertiser.

AND congratulations too to recent long-serving Daily Record reporter, Jack Mathieson, who has taken up a new post as media and communications officer at Edinburgh Napier University, based at its Sighthill campus.
Mathieson, who covered Edinburgh and the Lothians for the Record for 14 years, accepted a severance package in June.
He previously worked at the Edinburgh Evening News – where he had spells as chief reporter and assistant news editor, the Paisley Daily Express and the Berwickshire News.

BEGINS a media release posted yesterday on allmediascotland: “Beattie Communications has signed two of the stars who spearheaded the hugely successful PR and marketing campaigns at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
“Joining ‘Team Beattie’ are Kate McCheyne, who was PR manager at Glasgow 2014, and digital marketing specialist, Euan Harris.”
