ONE of Scotland’s best-known crime journalists, Jane Hamilton – who also owns PR company, Jane Hamilton Media – has added former Scotland international footballer, Frank McAvennie, to her list of clients.
Hamilton, who has been freelance since leaving The Scottish Sun five years ago (having previously worked for the Sunday Mail and Edinburgh Evening News) launched Jane Hamilton Media earlier this year.
Since then, the former investigative reporter has run several high-profile media campaigns for charities and businesses across Scotland, including the launch of the Lola Commons Fund in memory of the stillborn daughter of Celtic FC star, Kris Commons and his girlfriend Lisa Hague, as well as the launch of Pixo Mondial supercar rentals.
In a media release announcing the tie-up, former Celtic and West Ham footballer, Frank McAvennie, is quoted, as saying: “Jane asked me to get involved in a couple of charity promotions when I returned to Scotland earlier this year and I was impressed with her knowledge of the media and her ‘can do’ attitude.
“She is well-respected within her field and knows her business. It was an easy decision for me to ask Jane to represent me and it has turned out to be a great partnership, one I’m looking forward to this coming year and beyond. We have many projects in the pipeline and I am extremely excited to be working with Jane and bringing to fruition all we have planned.”
