WELCOME to Media Movers, reporting the latest moves within the Scottish media, including promotions and retirements.
WE begin by congratulating Lesley McPherson, who has been named the new chief communications officer at The City of Edinburgh Council.
She is currently the head of communications at the Association of British Insurers and succeeds former Edinburgh Evening News editor, Tom Little, who is now at South Lanarkshire, as head of corporate communications and public affairs and whose role at Edinburgh was slightly different (head of policy and public affairs) to that McPherson will be performing.
She joins on the 29th of next month.

MEANWHILE, at Scottish Wedding Directory, Christina Miller, has been appointed editor, providing maternity cover for Michelle Flynn. She will continue to accept freelance commissions (as Christina Lindsay).
Scottish Wedding Directory is published quarterly, in January, April, July and October, and has office presence in both Dundee and Glasgow. The publication is available at WH Smith, Tesco, Asda and most high street newsagents. The July issue goes on sale on the fourth of next month.
