SEVERAL Scots journalists feature on the bill of the Glasgow book festival, Aye Write!, which begins today.
The Herald and Sunday Herald columnist, Ian Bell, for instance, appears to talk about his book about Bob Dylan, while Graham Ogilvy – of Scottish Legal News – will be interviewing Andy Coogan, author of ‘Tomorrow You Die: The Astonishing Survival Story of a Second World War Prisoner of the Japanese’.
Also among the several Scots journalists taking part in the festival will be Jackie Kemp – daughter of the late Arnold Kemp, former editor of The Herald. She is joined by former Scotsman editor, Magnus Linklater, to discuss ‘Confusion to our Enemies: The Selected Journalism of Arnold Kemp’.
The event – at 1.15pm at The Mitchell Library on Sunday – will also include The Observer’s Robin McKie and the recently-appointed editor of The Herald, Magnus Llewellin.
