THE Herald newspaper has promoted two of its senior staff, to the roles of deputy editor and senior assistant editor.
Barclay McBain has been named deputy editor, while Graeme Smith is now senior assistant editor.
The changes were announced today by recently-appointed editor, Magnus Llewellin, who was promoted to his new role, from deputy, last month.
McBain, a former education correspondent on The Herald, was previously senior assistant editor while Smith was assistant editor, having moved to The Herald three years ago from a similar role on sister paper, the Evening Times.
