THE recent chief reporter at The Scottish Sun has joined one of Scotland’s best-known PR agencies.
Nick Sharpe, who left The Scottish Sun in August, has begun work at Weber Shandwick. He will be based at the company’s Glasgow office in the role of senior account manager.
In a media statement issued by Weber Shandwick, Sharpe is quoted, as saying: “Moving over to PR consultancy presents a whole new set of exciting challenges for me and seems like the natural step forward in my career.
“After a decade in newspapers I know what the media is looking for – be it a timely response to a breaking story or a great exclusive tale – and I look forward to bringing this wealth of knowledge to the table.”
Sharpe was with The Scottish Sun for seven years. Before that, he spent three-and-a-half years as senior reporter at the South Wales Echo.
