The editor of the Fife Free Press has been allocated editorial responsibility for sister title, the Glenrothes Gazette.
While Allan Crow takes on the editorship of the Glenrothes Gazette, colleague, Jim Holland, editor the Kirkintilloch Herald, is now additionally editor of the Milngavie Herald.
It follows news last month that publishers, Johnston Press, were planning to merge the four editorships into two.
Andrew Richardson, Johnston Press managing director for Scotland, is quoted by HoldtheFrontPage as saying: “As a result of these changes two editors, Gail Milne [Glenrothes Gazette] and Allan McIntyre, have now left the business.”
