AFTER almost two decades with the magazine, the staff photographer on Scottish Field magazine has decided to hang up his cameras at the end of next month, although he does intend to continue working on a part-time basis.
Says the magazine’s editor, Richard Bath of Roy Summers: “Roy’s a fantastic photographer whose work has been integral to Scottish Field’s success, and he’s still at the top of his game so it’s a real pity that he’s decided to take retirement, but we wish him all the best.
“His versatility and huge contacts book – Roy is one of Scottish journalism’s best-kent faces – mean his boots will be tough to fill.”
A full-time successor is now being sought.
