An article last week in the Sunday Herald, in praise of the press, has struck a chord with at least one reader.
Says a letter in today's edition of the paper, a Paul McLaughlin writes of an article by foreign editor, David Pratt: “His homage to investigative journalism is timely and apt and reminds us that the tabloid celebrity press is quite distinct from the thirst for truth that drives socially-responsible journalists who wish to expose injustice throughout the world.”
