INTERVIEWS with locally-born actress, Ashley Jensen, and TV presenter, Neil Oliver, feature in the 50th edition of a monthly magazine dedicated to Dumfries and Galloway.
Winner of the Consumer Magazine of the Year title at the Scottish Magazine of the Year Awards in November, Dumfries and Galloway Life is published by Carlisle-based CN Group Magazines.
Three years ago, it was named Scottish Magazine of the Year, just eight months after it was relaunched, under the editorship of Andrea Thompson.
The magazine had started life in September 2006 as the bi-monthly DGB Life, covering also the Scottish Borders.
Their win at the most recent Scottish Magazine of the Year Awards was their second Consumer Mag of the Year title in three years.
Said Thompson of the 50th issue: “It’s an extra special edition of Dumfries & Galloway Life. As well as celebrating a milestone in the history of the region’s favourite magazine, we’re also celebrating our success in the PPA Scotland Scottish Magazine Awards; the international success of some of our homegrown famous faces and the contribution our local heroes – the winners of the 2011 Dumfries & Galloway Life People of the Year Awards – make to their local communities.”
