A “RECORD-breaking end to 2011” has been reported by the Daily Record of its website which, it says, attracted some 2.1 million unique visitors last month – “our best month ever and a 50 per cent increase in readers over December 2010”.
Continues the paper, on page two: “It rounded off a great year in which 18,642,453 unique visitors – a 33 per cent year-on-year rise – came to the Daily Record and Sunday Mail website [dailyrecord.co.uk] for the best Scottish news and sport, multimedia and opinion.”
The paper – up 5p to 45p, because of “rising newsprint costs” – added that nearly a third of its website visitors live abroad.
