THE founder of the Scottish Fashion Awards has been appointed fashion editor-at-large at The Herald group of newspapers.
Tessa Hartmann, who is also chair of the awards, has been working in the fashion industry for over 15 years as a publicist and brand consultant for a variety of luxury fashion and retail houses.
She will be working for The Herald, the Sunday Herald and the Evening Times.
In a statement announcing the appointment, the papers’ editor-in-chief, Jonathan Russell, is quoted as saying: “We are delighted to have a closer working relationship with Tessa, whose hard work in promoting Scotland’s outstanding contribution to the fashion industry has a significant effect. In creating and developing The Scottish Fashion Awards she has helped shine the spotlight on the many creative individuals who help our country punch above it’s weight in this area.
“The Herald and Times Group is proud of its innovative fashion coverage and I am sure that Tessa’s contribution will help us develop that further.”
Hartmann takes up the post in January.
