A FORMER editor of the Wee County News has been appointed editorial manager of the ‘Forth’ titles operated by one of Scotland’s biggest local newspaper groups.
Martin Little will oversee 11 titles – all owned by Clyde and Forth Media.
The titles are: Dunfermline Press, East Lothian Courier, Borders Telegraph, Peeblesshire News, Alloa Advertiser, Central Fife Times, Stirling News, Allanwater Herald, Eastside Advertiser, Strathallan Times and the Fife and Kinross Extra.
Last week, the recent news editor at the Scottish News of the World, Craig Jackson, was appointed to a similar role for Clyde and Forth’s west of Scotland titles.
Little was editor of the Clackmannanshire newspaper until it was closed by its then owners, Forth Independent Newspapers, in June (it has since been resurrected by new owners, HUB Media).
Says Clyde and Forth Media managing director, Graham Morrison: “Martin joined the business in August [to set up three free, local newspapers in the Forth Valley] and has already made a significant contribution to our titles.
“In his new role, Martin will be directly responsible for the management of content, production, and presentation both in print and online, of all Forth Weekly Press newspapers and magazines.”
