IT is being reported that a music writer on the Edinburgh Evening News has been banned from attending a concert by well-known musician, Noel Gallagher.
Reports HoldtheFrontPage website, Gary Flockhart has been banned from the gig after describing an album by the former Oasis star as a ‘let down’.
Reporting the ban today, HoldtheFront Page explains that, after a request for press tickets, Flockhart was said to have been told by the singer’s PR company that there were none spare and the review he had written had not helped his cause.
Flockhart is quoted, as saying: “This is a man who has spent his entire career slagging off other artists – he obviously doesn’t like it when the shoe is on the other foot.”
Tom Little, the paper’s editor, is also quoted as saying: “Personally, I think Noel Gallagher is a fine artist and songwriter, but it sounds like he needs better PR. Maybe [we] should do a job swap – [the PR man] can choose who does our music reviews and I can travel round the world and party with Noel.”
