The free arts listings newspaper, The Skinny, has got itself a new website, designed to 'make finding what’s happening in Scotland’s culture scene easy and quick'.
Says the newspaper of the new-look www.theskinny.co.uk: “Created and designed to make finding what’s happening in Scotland’s culture scene easy and quick, the site boasts a simple black and white, clear and precise layout, overlaid with the odd splash of colour, allowing the content to speak for itself.
“The new-look website is a clever design with navigation at the forefront. Building on their reputation as the official voice of what’s on where in Scotland the new design builds on accessibility to the popular podcasts and blogs. Instant access to exclusive interviews and reviews of music, film, theatre, art, clubs, books, travel, comedy, fashion and technology, all becomes centre stage.”
The redesign was undertaken by Glasgow and London-based TicToc.
In a statement issued by the newspaper, Skinny editor, Rosamund West, is quoted, as saying: “We're going to keep working on it to improve it still further, so there will be even more special features added in the next few months, ensuring we continue to offer the best place to find out about culture in Scotland and beyond, and spread our reach and readership even further afield.”
Last month, at the Scottish New Music Awards, The Skinny was awarded ‘Best Print Publication of the Year’ and ‘Best Website/Online Publication of the Year'.
