THE Daily Record’s health correspondent has been appointed to a similar role at sister title, the Daily Mirror.
Lachlan Mackinnon is expected to move from Central Quay to Canary Wharf, for the UK-wide post, next week. He has been the Daily Record’s health correspondent for the last three years, and has been with the paper for the last nine, beginning as a trainee reporter via a scholarship set up in memory of the late First Minister, Donald Dewar.
He told allmediascotand that he was a beneficiary of the scholarship after graduating with a joint honours degree in English and History from the University of Strathclyde and having worked, doing casual shifts, at the Sunday Herald.
