A reporter at the Edinburgh Evening News is moving to sister title, The Scotsman, to become education correspondent.
After a couple of years writing extensively about the ill-starred Edinburgh trams project, Evening News transport reporter, Chris Marshall, is to join The Scotsman around the middle of next month.
He succeeds Fiona MacLeod, who has recently left, it is believed for a press office posting at the University of St Andrews.
It is understood the Evening News will be advertising for a general reporter replacement and reshuffling the newsroom to appoint a new transport correspondent.
