A journalism student at Cardonald College in Glasgow has won a competition to work as a political journalist at the Scottish Parliament with a local newspaper for a week.
HND Journalism student, Louise Devlin, had to write a 500-word essay – on the topic, ‘What do you see as the main achievements of the Scottish Parliament to date?’ – for the competition and will be taking up the placement with the Fife Free Press in September.
Louise recently won a week-long placement at The Scottish Sun, along with her fellow student, Rebecca Garrett. The pair both earned their placements after entering a Scotland-wide competition run by The Sun and aimed at journalism students.
