AS the Bloomberg news service correctly stated in a story it published on Wednesday – under the heading, ‘UK Queen’s Granddaughter May Wed in Edinburgh, Herald Reports’ – the Glasgow broadsheet did indeed carry the tale that Zara Phillips plans to ‘tie the knot’ with rugby star, Mike Tindall, on July 30 at the capital’s Canongate Kirk on the Royal Mile.
But credit where it’s due: it was the Scottish Daily Express which broke the story, the previous day, reporter, Judith Duffy penning a double-page spread across pages two and three of the newspaper.
