The Church of Scotland’s glossy flagship publication, Life and Work, has been given a new design and introduced a number of new editorial features and contributors for its 60-page January issue – published this week.
Explains editor, Lynne McNeil: “This month’s new look and radical overhaul of editorial and design content is the first stage of a long-term and much-needed development project for the magazine of our Church, which aims to bring the title bang up to date.
“The new look has, like all new projects, taken a considerable period of time to create, but we, as a team, are delighted with our ‘new clothes’ and would welcome feedback from all our readers.”
The redevelopment of the 131-year-old monthly title, which has a circulation of more than 30,000 and sells at £1.80, ends an uncertain year for the magazine, following concerns about the viability of the Kirk's book publishing arm.
