Energy Award for P&J's Cresswell

The editor of the Press and Journal’s monthly Energy supplement has received an award for his contribution to the renewables industry.

Jeremy Cresswell picked up the honour at the Scottish Green Energy Awards 2010 in Edinburgh.

He is a co-founder of Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group and played a leading role in securing Aberdeen as the home of All-Energy, the UK’s largest renewable-energy trade exhibition and conference.

Derek Tucker, editor the Press and Journal, said: “Anybody who has ever spoken to Jeremy, which is almost everybody remotely connected with the energy industry, cannot fail to have been struck by his enormous enthusiasm and encyclopaedic knowledge of the renewable sector. This award is well deserved and I am delighted for him.”

Morag McCorkindale, chief operating officer of Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group, added: “Jeremy has given unstintingly of his time and energy for more than ten years – and this is on top of his work as a prominent energy analyst, editor and journalist.”
