It's a big occasion tonight in Glasgow for Lesley Duncan, the poetry editor of The Herald.
She is launching her new book, ‘Images Not Icons’, in the Moir Room in the city's Mitchell Library, which, as well as readings, will feature a question and answer session.
The book looks at the world of public affairs and private preoccupations in this collection of her poems – her perceptive verses on everything from the collapse of Communism in Easter Europe to sex, war and peace offer an original perspective on their times.
