An annual prize for the best agricultural journalism in the regional press has opened for entries – with a closing date of November 1.
The Stuart Seaton Regional Newspaper Award, established in memory of the founding editor of the Farmers Guardian, is open to all regional journalists with an agricultural or rural affairs brief.
Last year’s winner was Joe Watson, agricultural editor of the Aberdeen-based Press and Journal regional morning newspaper. There is also an award for the newspaper with the best farming coverage – also won last year by the Press and Journal.
The awards are made annually by the Guild of Agricultural Journalists.
