The first issue of a new Scottish business magazine has 'hit the streets'.
15,000 copies of BQ Scotland have been dispatched to business figures across Scotland, plus hotels popular among businesspeople, airport lounges and conference centres.
Edited by Kenny Kemp – the current holder of the Business and Financial Writer of the Year title at the Scottish Press Awards and founding business editor at the Sunday Herald – the quarterly title features, as its cover story, Lucinda Bruce-Gardyne who has created Genius Foods, based in Edinburgh’s New Town.
There is also a major interview with the American entrepreneurs who set up the Renaissance Golf Club in East Lothian, and One Thumb Mobile, a small Glasgow technology company making apps for mobile phones.
Says Kemp: “I hope people enjoy the magazine. There are some stunning photographs and the aim is to give readers a good read that gets to grips with Scotland’s present and future wealth creators.”
The publishers are Room 501.
