Another day and yet another twist on The Herald front-page…..
As has become common practice under the premiership of new editor, Jonathan Russell, one story dominates today’s Glasgow-based broadsheet: Tony Blair’s decision to donate all profits from his memoirs to a rehabilitation centre for injured troops.
Splashed above the fold, however, is a cartoon drawing of a wounded soldier peering at the former Prime Minister’s book showcased in a shop window.
Bar the customary cartoon accompanying the reporting of Budget Day, the gambit is rarely rolled out.
The cartoon is by the paper's award-winning cartoonist, Steven Camley.
Has the Herald came to the conclusion that not every front page lead has a obvious pic to support it?
