The bold new look of The Herald front page – at least in the paper's Edinburgh edition this morning – may have had the boss of the capital's international festival feeling slightly bemused.
Splashed was a picture of him, accompanied by the heading: 'Festival Boss is Braced for Cut to Funding'.
So far, so good, especially since the tale was being labelled an 'exclusive'.
Except, that there was no 'turn' information, to confirm the story was inside the paper, where it was residing on page 9.
And in the absence of any other dividing line, the pic, to all intents and purposes, looked as if it was to do with the text below, headed: 'BAE Chief Quits after Probe into Sex Slurs'.
Reading almost as a sub-heading.
