Newspaper standards are to be the subject of a debate taking place at the Scottish Parliament and featuring the chair of the Press Complaints Commission.
Joining PCC chair, Baroness Buscombe, among the speakers will be The Scotsman editor, John McLellan, and former MP and MSP, John Home Robertson, a PCC Commissioner.
The event – titled 'The Work of the PCC: Raising Press Standards' – is being chaired by Cathy Peattie MSP and is taking place on the 15th of next month. It is being hosted by a Scottish Parliament committee – the Cross Party Group on culture and media – and not in the full chamber.
Also appearing are Esther Roberton, non-executive director, Scottish Council for Development and Industry and PCC Commissioner, and Stephen Abell, director, PCC.
Spaces to attend are available but there is limited availability. To apply, email dave.smith@scottish.parliament.uk with details of your name, organisation and contact information.
