An Edinburgh news agency has recruited a new reporter – the third in the space of a month.
Amanda Keenan has joined Deadline Press and Picture Agency in the role of news features reporter, following a recent spell at the Daily Record newspaper.
A former news editor at the Barrhead News, Keenan follows in the footsteps of news reporters Christine Lavelle and Martin Graham – both graduates from Glasgow Caledonian University – who joined the agency at the end of last month.
Meanwhile, Deadline is also seeking out an experienced court reporter to replace Paul Thornton, who is set to depart for The Scottish Sun later this week.
Said consulting managing editor at the agency, Shaun Milne: “It’s a mixed week for everyone at Deadline.
“We‘re thrilled by the addition of a proven campaigner in Amanda who has been making a real name for herself with a series of solid, exclusive stories on the nationals – yet sorry to see Paul leave after two years, although really delighted to see yet another Deadline recruit is being snapped up by Britain’s biggest-selling daily newspaper.”
