THE funeral is taking place today of a former night news editor at The Courier newspaper, who died at the age of 75 after battling cancer for more than a year.
Norman Fenwick died in Dundee, after being diagnosed with lung cancer in February last year. With his wife, Eleanor, he was determined to enjoy the time he had left, touring Scotland and continuing to play golf during what the paper describes as “gruelling” chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment.
A golf fanatic, he had retired in 1999 from the paper after more than 48 years’ service with The Courier’s publishers, DC Thomson.
