A SCOTTISH Sun assistant editor responsible for design has been appointed head of design at sister title, the News of the World, in London.
Garry Ollason has secured the prestigious promotion, while his colleague, Pat Carroll, has decided to take early retirement – bringing to an end, allmediascotland understands, a 15-year stretch commuting weekly from the north of England. Pat is the longest-serving member of staff on The Scottish Sun, having joined the paper in 1989.
Ollason is being succeed as assistant editor (art) by Lesley Weir.
