A FORMER head of news at the Sunday Herald newspaper has combined his love of single malt whisky with his extensive contacts book to launch a whisky festival in Glasgow.
Bill Mackintosh is working with Mark Connelly, of whiskywhiskywhisky.com – one of Europe’s largest online whisky forums – to launch what will be the inaugural festival, taking place in November.
Mackintosh now writes extensively about whisky.
The event is scheduled for November 13, between 1pm and 5pm. Tickets, priced £15 each, are available from the Arches Box Office on 0141 565 1000, or online at www.thearches.co.uk A booking fee will apply.
