THE group content editor at The Herald group of newspapers, Tony Carlin, has been appointed editor at one of the group’s titles, the Evening Times. He had been deputy editor.
In a memo to staff announcing the appointment, group managing director, Tim Blott, said: “Tony had to compete with some extremely good external candidates for this highly sought-after position as head of Scotland’s best-selling evening newspaper.
“His professionalism and commitment, as well as leading some high-profile campaigns of behalf of Glasgow, won him the role.”
