THE Sunday Herald has again registered a near 20 per cent in sales between May last year and last month.
According to the ABCs, the title registered year-on-year sales – as measured by Average Net Circulation – in Scotland of 38,539 last month compared to 47,165 during May last year – a drop of 8,626, or 18.3 per cent.
Meanwhile, the year-on-year figures for Scotland’s two biggest-selling daily newspapers were both down: nine per cent for the Scottish Sun and 12.44 per cent for the Daily Record.
The figures were published on Friday. Only four newspapers saw their year-on-year sales rise in Scotland, from May last year: the Daily Star, the Daily Telegraph, the Scottish News of the World and the Sunday Telegraph.
Other big year-on-year fallers in Scotland again include The Independent on Sunday (29.3 per cent), the Sunday Mirror (16.36 per cent), the Scottish Daily Mirror (16.15 per cent) and the Sunday Mail (15 per cent).

Daily Mail (118,406 versus 124,515, down 6,109 or 4.9 per cent), Daily Telegraph (26,226 versus 23,842, up 2,384 or ten per cent), Financial Times (4,646 versus 5,372, down 726 or 13.5 per cent), The Herald (58,349 versus 66,588, down 8,239 or 12.4 per cent), The Guardian (15,814 versus 16,019, down 205 or 1.28 per cent), and The Independent (9,042 versus 10,076, down 1,034 or 10.3 per cent).
