FIRST up, and congratulations to Shaun Milne, appointed as news editor at The Herald.
He was previously editor of STV’s digital stable of websites, news editor – then assistant editor – at the Daily Mirror in Scotland, associate news editor with the Daily Record, online news editor for The Scottish Sun and, most recently, acting news editor across the newsdesk for The Scotsman titles.
He was previously managing editor for news agency, Deadline, co-owner of digital publishing company Planet Ink, and PR and digital director at Lucid PR, now System2, in Inverness.

CONGRATULATIONS too to Andrew Picken, politics and investigations editor of The Sunday Post. He has been appointed as a journalist at BBC Scotland. Before his current post, which he has held for five years, he was political editor of the Scottish Mail on Sunday and political correspondent of the Scottish Daily Mail.

AND, finally, best wishes to Kathryn Wylie, account manager at PR and strategic communications agency, Hollicom, since its launch last year.
