A FORMER deputy editor at The Oban Times group who also includes the editorship of several Borders-based local newspapers on his CV has returned to his native north-east of England.
Stuart Laundy has been appointed Teesdale reporter at The Northern Echo. He is originally from County Durham.
Between 2008 and two years ago, he was editor of the Berwick Advertiser (which serves Northumberland) and the Berwickshire News (which serves the south-east of the Scottish Borders).
He then moved to the Oban Times Group, between 2010 and last year.
And then he returned to the Borders, taking up the editorships of the Border Telegraph and the Peeblesshire News newspapers.
