THE US Open win by Scots tennis star, Andy Murray, was in the top three most written-about stories of last week among the UK’s main national newspapers and the BBC’s website.
Says a survey by the charity, the Media Standards Trust, Murray’s triumph in the Grand Slam event attracted 136 articles during the week ending Sunday.
Topping the trio, with 501 articles, were the findings of the Hillsborough Independent Panel. At 177 articles was the death of US diplomat, Christopher Stevens, killed during a storming of the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
