A TRAINING course on Scots Law is being staged on Friday, by the National Union of Journalists.
Says the NUJ: “The newspaper industry is fast becoming a multi-media operation and extensive changes are taking place in production of the papers and websites. In recent months, a number of companies have faced the wrath of the courts due to reporting details of cases that should have never seen the light of day.
“To help meet these challenges the NUJ are running a series of Scots Law courses across Scotland to raise standards and help journalists and employers alike handle the legal minefield which can cost financially and with serious damage to reputations.”
Places cost £100 for NUJ members or £160 for non-members. The course is taking place in Glasgow.
