GRAHAM Hunter provides an inspiring tale for sports hacks tired of the Scottish football beat.
In a double-page spread in today’s Sunday Mail, the Scots journalist tells of the decision – pretty much on a whim – that led to him, his wife and young daughter relocating to Barcelona.
Says the paper, Hunter then went on to become a “world-renowned expert on La Liga, the Spanish [football] league”, insodoing becoming one of the “privileged few” to be allowed into the dressing room of the Spanish football team when they won the World Cup two years ago.
Hunter is the author of a recently-published book about Barcelona FC, ‘Barca, the Making of the Greatest Team in the World’.
