An awards ceremony recognising catering outlets that provide healthy eating options is to be revamped by the Edinburgh-based division of an UK-wide marketing, PR and advertising agency.
Golley Slater Scotland has been appointed by Consumer Focus Scotland to develop a new advertising and point of sale campaign for its Healthyliving award.
Says a media release issued by Golley Slater: “The Healthyliving award rewards catering outlets for providing and promoting healthier food choices for customers, whether a small sandwich shop or a staff canteen. To achieve the award, outlets must adhere to a range of criteria related to the preparation and choice of foods offered.
“Changes to EU legislation mean that award holders and those working towards the award must stop using the Healthyliving award green apple logo to signpost ‘healthier’ menu items. The team at Golley Slater Scotland will work with Consumer Focus Scotland to develop a new communications strategy that will come to life as new marketing materials that adhere to new legislation, and complement the award’s strong, recognisable brand.
“The new in-store creative will be supported by trade and consumer advertising and PR campaigns to raise awareness of changes and encourage more food retailers to sign up for the award.”
