The former head of news and current affairs at BBC Scotland has begun blogging for the website of the media and marketing magazine, The Drum.
Atholl Duncan now writes for the News Just In section, reflecting on television, radio, newspapers and online media.
His first article was a piece on Sir Alan Sugar’s inception as chair of You View, the partnership involving the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Arqiva, BT and Talk Talk to provide a multiplicity of TV, internet and catch-up services via an all-in box.
Duncan left the BBC after the Scottish Parliament elections to become an executive director (UK and global) at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. He is a former director for corporate affairs at Scottish Water.
He is also due to pen occasional columns for allmediascotland.com
