Media Pack Issued for Journalists Covering Commonwealth Games

Journalists covering the forthcoming Commonwealth Games in Delhi are being offered feature and news ideas about the support the Scots competitors will be receiving – for instance, sports psychology, nutrition and sports medicine.

A media pack has been issued today by the sportscotland institute of sport, ahead of the games, in October.

Featured are a variety of the institute's experts, plus a handful of case studies, including swimmer, Hannah Miley.

Says a statement issued by the PR company handling the promotion of the pack: “As Scotland’s athletes finalise their preparations for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India this October, the Institute is proud to be supporting them with world-class expertise and knowledge.

“As the high performance arm of sportscotland, the institute has a wealth of experts available to provide comment on topical issues and insight, including athletes’ preparation and performance.

“This pack provides you with a flavour of the institute’s work with elite athletes across its range of support services, including strength and conditioning, physiotherapy, sports medicine, psychology, sports medicine, sports science, sports and nutrition, video analysis and performance lifestyle.”
