A leading Scottish media academic is set to start a new job from the beginning of next month.
Martin Boyle will take up the post of deputy head of the Faculty of Creative Industries at Falkirk-based Forth Valley College a week on Monday.
The move follows an almost seven-year spell at Glasgow’s Cardonald College, in Glasgow, where Boyle, until earlier this month, worked as a senior lecturer in journalism and media.
Says Boyle of the new position: “Forth Valley has quite a big, wide-ranging faculty, which takes in all of the creative industries – all the media, sound production, television, all the way through to graphic design, art and so on.
“I am just looking forward to getting started. It’s a good move for me so looking forward to it.
“It’s a big promotion – a step up for me, in reality. From that point of view, I’m looking forward to it because I get to move on.”
